Big news: Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern has reintroduced the Free and Fair Elections Amendment [[link removed]], a bold constitutional amendment to end the domination of big money in U.S. politics and return power to the people.
For 15 years, Citizens United has poisoned our democracy. The Supreme Court’s 2010 ruling gave corporations and billionaires the “right” to spend unlimited sums of money to influence elections. The results have been devastating: over $77 billion spent by billionaires, corporations, and dark money groups to influence U.S. elections.
To fix our broken system, Congress must get big money out of politics and restore democratic power to the ballot box where it belongs.

✅ Bans corporate spending to influence federal elections;

✅ Empowers states to set reasonable limits on contributions and spending in state and local elections.
