In a stunning move, the EPA just proposed ending greenhouse gas reporting for the nation’s worst polluters.
That means power plants, steel facilities, and even oil and gas companies could stop reporting how much carbon pollution they produce. Some industries didn’t even want or ask for this. Many rely on this data to qualify for tax credits that drive clean energy investments.
This isn’t about streamlining rules. It’s about erasing climate accountability — a purely political decision designed to bury the truth and protect polluters.
The EPA is supposed to protect our environment and public health, not hide the damage being done to our planet. If these rules go into effect, Americans will lose a critical tool for holding big polluters accountable.
Every dollar will help us elect and support climate champions in Congress who will demand transparency, restore accountability, and stop polluters from rewriting the rules.
We can’t let the EPA erase the truth. Together, we’ll fight back.
