Here's to another month and the latest from Team Wittman!

We are happy to have you on board #TeamWittman! The 2026 Election Season has begun!  We appreciate you joining our team. We are excited to share our monthly updates from the campaign trail, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and how you can support our team.

Campaign Update

The 2026 campaign is in full swing! #TeamWittman is now a targeted seat by National Democrats. Shannon Taylor, Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney, recently entered the race.  She lost to Jay Jones in the democratic primary for the Attorney General earlier this summer. As we approach this crucial election season, and you want to get involved, please let us know how you'd like to volunteer by visiting this link.

Events

Do you have an event happening in your area? Let us know by emailing [email protected]. Team Wittman had another great month visiting friends and neighbors across the district, including making stops in Chesterfield, Gloucester, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, York,  Williamsburg-James City,  York, and many more!

Here are a few snapshots from the road:

We had the opportunity to speak with the York County Committee. It was great to see so many supporters in the room as we discussed the facts about Working Families Tax Cuts and the positive impact this new law will have on our district.

Great time learning more about the incredible work New Life for Adults and Youth of Chesterfield is doing in our community. Thank you, Pastor Rosalinda Rivera, for your leadership and vision. From the Thrift Store to the Car Wash and Men’s Home, it’s inspiring to see lives being changed through their mission.

We joined Delegate Scott Wyatt, Attorney General Jason Miyares, and so many friends from New Kent and Hanover County Republicans as we gear up for this fall’s critical election.

It was a pleasure to join Winsome Earle-Sears at Eggs Up in Midlothian. Team Wittman is always excited at any opportunity we have to celebrate local small businesses!

What an incredible turnout at the Hanover County Republican Committee meeting! We heard from Chairman Jack Dyer, Delegate Scott Wyatt and Buddy Fowler, and fellow Congressman John McGuire. I had the opportunity to share about the importance of voting early and the impact every single vote will have this fall.

The Gloucester County Republican Committee hosted its 2nd Annual Pork & Politics at the Abingdon Ruritan Club. A special thank you to Teresa Altemus, Lisa Reid, and the entire committee for putting together such a successful evening.

The Chesterfield County Fair was a wonderful time - delivering a perfect mix of weather, food, and friendly faces. It was wonderful talking with so many Virginians.

Upcoming Events

Mark your calendars for these upcoming events!

Please join us this Friday, September 19th, for a Get Out to Vote Rally in Chesterfield County. This fall's early voting starts TODAY.  Please plan to vote early!

As a loyal supporter, #TeamWittman would like to personally invite you to our biggest events of the year. Our annual “Seafood, Sounds and Sips” helps fund our reelection campaign, and now that the 1st District is a targeted seat by the Democrats, this event is more important than ever!

Tickets to this amazing afternoon of fun are only $35 per adult. Get yours here.

Get Involved - Letters to the Editor

Grateful to see our community speaking out! We appreciate our friends and neighbors taking the time to share examples of the great work Rep. Wittman is doing in their communities.  Do you want to join us in spreading the truth with Letters to the Editor?  Let us know by emailing [email protected]

Thank you, Buddy Rilee of Gloucester, VA!
We truly appreciate your Letter to the Editor in the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal. You stood up to say give the recent tax bill a chance — and we couldn’t agree more. You shared your belief that, in the end, this bill will help Americans in a big way. You also reminded readers that Congressman Rob Wittman has always had the backs of the people he represents. Whether it’s standing at the shipyard gates at 5 a.m. or fighting for hardworking Virginians in Washington, Rob shows up.

Thanks again, Buddy, for speaking out and standing strong for the 1st District!
