Today, we’re asking you for $19.68. We know that’s a random number, but it’s not a coincidence! Let us explain:

For the first time in 57 years (since 1968), Iowa has an open Governor’s and Senate race at the SAME time. In case we haven’t made it clear yet, this is a VERY big deal.

These seats were previously held by Republicans Kim Reynolds and Joni Ernst — both of whom took Iowa backwards with their failed leadership.

Whether it was Reynolds pouring millions of taxpayer dollars into private school vouchers, or Ernst saying “well we’re all going to die,” when she voted to strip healthcare away from over 100,000 Iowans, their decisions to not seek reelection changed the landscape of these top two races.

With these races now WIDE OPEN, and as competitive as ever, we’ve got to use our Democratic momentum to make sure we can win. We have four overperformances in special elections this year to show for our comeback, and it’s all the motivation to keep going.
