This spring, 50CAN and Our Turn Action Network began collaborating on a webinar series called Election Essentials. Our goal was to open up the often convoluted world of politics and political advocacy in order to equip advocates of all experience levels with the information and tools they would need to have a larger impact.
We’re so thankful for all of you that joined us for the first six sessions of the series. We covered a range of topics, from doing politics on a budget to reading and writing polls. If you missed the live sessions, you can view the videos on 50CAN’s YouTube channel ([link removed]) .
Due to its popularity, we’ve decided to continue the webinar series. We want to take advocates even deeper into the critical components needed to execute political advocacy.
This second series of webinars will run bi-weekly and will start on July 8th at 1 pm ET with a session on political fundraising. We will examine more closely the similarities and differences between political and non-political fundraising, as well as key things that potential donors want to hear and know before they decide to support your political effort.
