Trump says next year's G20 summit will be held at his resort near Miami
John, it’s official: President Trump has announced that next year’s G20 summit will be held at his Doral golf course by the Miami airport.
That means foreign leaders will have to spend money at a business owned by the president to participate in the event.
It doesn’t get more corrupt than that, John.
Trump claims that he won’t profit from this, but bringing world leaders to his own property will bring incalculable publicity and free advertising to his business—and would be yet another glaring example of Trump using the presidency to line his own pockets.
Trump tried to do this exact same thing in 2020, when he wanted to host the G7 summit at his Doral resort. CREW applied pressure, called out the corruption, and ultimately, the G7 was hosted elsewhere.
With your help, we can shut this down again.

Trump’s plan to host foreign leaders at a property he owns and profits from would likely violate the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which prevents the president from accepting gifts and money from foreign governments.
But Trump has continuously brushed off ethics concerns and ignored the Constitution.
Earlier this year, Trump accepted a luxury jet from the Qatar government to be used as Air Force One, and later, for personal use—raising ethics concerns and questions of potential corruption.
To the best of our knowledge, prior administrations have never filed misconduct complaints against federal judges. Yet, in the first six months in office, the Trump administration has filed two.
Trump’s latest scheme to host foreign leaders at a property he profits from poses even more corruption concerns and raises the risk of foreign policy decisions being made based on which countries spend the most at his property to curry favor.
We can’t let Trump get away with this. Just like we did during his first term when Trump tried to host the G7 summit at his Florida resort, CREW’s working to shut this down.
We’re fighting back to ensure Trump doesn’t get away with forcing foreign governments to play by his corrupt set of rules. If you’re with us, please donate today to support CREW’s work to hold Trump accountable and stop him from hosting the G20 summit at his golf resort →
