Working Families Party

John,

We need a Congress that fights for working people, not billionaire corporations and special interests. The status quo isn’t serving us. Too many families are working harder than ever and still falling behind while corporate interests run the show — and career politicians who’ve been in office for decades aren’t going to change it.

That’s why we’re proud to support Mai Vang in her campaign to represent California’s 7th Congressional District.

Mai was born and raised in Sacramento, and is the proud daughter of Hmong refugees. She has been a powerful champion for working people on the Sacramento City Council.

And now she’s challenging a 20-year incumbent Democrat who has been absent in their district and has actively avoided town halls and meeting their constituents. Mai is the kind of leader we need: she understands her community from the inside out and will fight tooth and nail for the people she represents.

Can you split a contribution today to help Mai take on this entrenched incumbent and power our fight to flip the House in 2026? Every dollar brings us closer to electing leaders who put working people first — and shows that voters across the country are ready for real change.

As a Sacramento City Councilmember, Mai created the Sacramento Children’s Fund to dedicate millions of dollars to kids facing poverty and trauma, secured over $40 million to strengthen neighborhoods, expand youth programs, and improve the quality of life for seniors, led one of the nation’s most linguistically diverse vaccination clinics, and championed Safe Haven policies to protect students and families regardless of their immigration status.

When she gets to Congress, Mai will fight for guaranteed health care for every American, paid sick leave, affordable child care, and safe and affordable housing. She knows that the status quo isn’t working for working people.

But this race isn’t just about Sacramento, John. Its outcome will send a message across the country: that entrenched incumbents can be challenged and that we can elect working class champions to represent our communities.

Split a contribution today to help elect Mai Vang and power a nationwide movement to flip the House, defeat entrenched incumbents, and put working people at the center of our government.

Every dollar will help us reach more voters, share Mai’s story, and elect more candidates like her — leaders rooted in their communities, ready to fight for working families everywhere.

In solidarity,

Working Families Party
