Hi friend, 

I was just in Indiana to push back against Donald Trump’s redistricting efforts, a state where they are openly talking about drawing a ”9-0 map” that would make it impossible for a Democrat to be elected to any of the state’s nine seats in Congress. 

To put it plainly: Trump and his allies are trying to change the rules to dictate the outcome of an election before the first vote is ever cast. 

Why? Because they know that if they face a fair contest on their record – cutting Medicaid, handing out tax breaks to billionaires, driving up prices and costs – they will lose. So instead of changing their failing policies, they’re trying to change the rules.

That is wrong.

But here’s what gives me hope: I just stood alongside hundreds of highly energized Hoosiers who made it clear we will not accept this. And I know this work is bigger than one rally, one state, or one election.

Too often, Americans underestimate the power we hold. The reality is that when we organize, when we turn out, when we refuse to back down, we don’t just make a point – we make history.

I’m proud of the work we’re doing across the country to push back against these power grabs and strengthen our democracy. But I can’t do it alone.
