On Wednesday night, 266 future leaders signed up to attend our September Candidate Intro Call to take the first step toward running for office. That makes 1,900+ future candidates who’ve joined these calls in the last four months alone.
The energy was amazing. And the numbers tell us everything we need to know: More people have signed up with Run for Something since Trump took office this year than in his ENTIRE first term.
John, these candidates are ready to run for state and local office now—and we can help them do it together. D.C. may hog the attention, but it’s your city hall, school board, and statehouse that shapes your daily life.
That’s where we come in. Run for Something recruits, trains, and supports young, diverse progressives to lead on:
Last thing. I want to share some of what folks told us in the chat:
“I want my city to know it’s okay to have hope. We will fight for a better future together… Here at home, we can and will make our city the inclusive, safe, and prosperous place we all deserve.”
“The community I live in deserves better representation, better communication, and someone who is a true voice for them in the rooms they’re not in.”
We change the system by changing who’s in it. We start local, build the bench, and shape the future from the bottom up. Together, we’ve already helped win over 1,000 elections.
This work is made possible thanks to thousands of grassroots donors who give a little each month to fuel big change. Become a monthly donor today and help our candidates keep running — and winning.
