Seattle Police finally disband Chaz and reclaim Third Precinct three days after Mayor’s home marched on
Seattle Police have finally overthrown and dispersed the democratic republic of the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in downtown Seattle, reclaiming the Third Precinct after a three-week occupation by sometimes armed Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists. So far, at least 31 individuals have been arrested as part of clearing out the occupation. Chief of Police Carmen Best issued a statement, saying in part, “[E]nough is enough. The CHOP has become lawless and brutal. Four shootings — two fatal — robberies, assaults, violence and countless property crimes have occurred in this several block area. My job, and the job of our officers, is to protect and serve our community.” The executive order came from Democratic Mayor Jenny Durkan three days after her residence was marched on by protesters on June 28. If anything CHAZ demonstrates precisely what can happen when police departments abandon the areas they are duty-bound to protect — whatever faction locally can use force to seize power will do so. In the case of Seattle, it was armed Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists. In other cities, the predictable result would likely include violent gangs seizing control of neighborhoods, calling into question the entire enterprise. Already, cities across the country are seeing murder rates and shootings spike upwards, including in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles, thanks in large part to the riots and to elected officials withdrawing police during a crisis. Guess you need police after all.

Video: Market expert says American economy will never be the same
After COVID-19, things will be very different for the U.S. A career options trader says there will be enormous differences on the stock market now. He believes the economy could get better. Hear why.

Former George W. Bush administration officials to endorse Joe Biden. For shame.
Reuters reports that hundreds of former George W. Bush officials are planning to endorse Joe Biden for President this year. For shame. As a former political appointee of President George W. Bush, I strongly urge Americans to vote for Donald Trump’s re-election.  President Trump has cut taxes and significantly lowered the regulatory burden on our nation’s economic engine which created the greatest jobs economy since jobs data was recorded. President Trump has been unafraid to reposition America in the world. Our NATO allies are now paying more of their fair share for the defense of their own countries, we have dumped the disastrous NAFTA deal for a much more America friendly U.S-Mexico-Canada trade agreement, we have new trade deals with South Korea and Japan, the U.S. Embassy to Israel has moved to Jerusalem, and most importantly, President Trump has resisted the call by the foreign policy elites for more endless wars. President Trump has appointed and had confirmed 200 federal judges remaking the formerly liberal judiciary in under one term.  Between 2021 and 2025, there could be two or three additional Supreme Court appointees, and a Trump presidency ensures that some sanity may be restored to our nation’s highest court. A Biden presidency in contrast would mean higher taxes, the Green New Deal and more liberal judges and justices.

Trump keeps promise to end NAFTA
Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning: “Today President Trump kept a promise that many before him failed at, he ended NAFTA and replaced it with a trade deal which will help rebuild the American economy.  American manufacturing will grow as US auto jobs will dramatically expand due to the changed rules that President Trump negotiated and other changes in Mexico will encourage overall manufacturing investment in the United States meaning more high paying jobs.  Most importantly two of the unsung costs of NAFTA were the lack of intellectual property protections for U.S. inventors, USMCA corrects this issue, and in the past, Mexico was one of the biggest currency manipulators always making U.S. made goods more expensive and Mexican made goods less so – USMCA ends this trade cheat. Combined Canada and Mexico are our nation’s largest trading partners.  Today marks a new day in these relationships and it was only through President Trump’s leadership that it was achieved.”

In a 5 a.m. PST tweet on July 1, Seattle Police announced Democratic Mayor Jenny Durkan’s executive order to end the occupation, stating, “Due to ongoing violence and public safety issues in the East Precinct/Cal Anderson Park area. Mayor Jenny Durkan has issued an executive order to vacate the area. Seattle police will be in the area this morning enforcing the Mayor’s order.”

So far, at least 32 individuals (and counting) have been arrested as part of clearing out the occupation as of this writing.

Chief of Police Carmen Best issued a statement on retaking the neighborhood, saying in part, “[E]nough is enough. The CHOP has become lawless and brutal. Four shootings — two fatal — robberies, assaults, violence and countless property crimes have occurred in this several block area. My job, and the job of our officers, is to protect and serve our community.”

The executive order came from Democratic Mayor Jenny Durkan three days after her residence was marched on by protesters on June 28.

The Mayor’s office had issued a statement blasting the march as a threat: “Mayor Durkan and her family are in the state program to keep their address confidential because of the death threats mostly related to her work as Seattle's U.S. Attorney under President Obama.  Instead of working to make true change, Councilmember Sawant continues to choose political stunts.  Tonight she did so without regard for the safety of the Mayor and her family. The Mayor was not even home — she was working at City Hall.  Seattle can and should peacefully demonstrate but should not put families and children at risk.”

The failed occupation and renewed police presence comes amid calls nationwide to defund and disband police departments across the country, and could mark a turning point in the protests and sometimes riots that were sparked after George Floyd’s death in May while in Minneapolis police custody.

If anything CHAZ demonstrates precisely what can happen when elected officials force police to abandon the areas they are duty-bound to protect — whatever faction locally can use force to seize power will do so. In the case of Seattle, it was armed Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists.

In other cities, the predictable result would likely include violent gangs seizing control of neighborhoods, calling into question the wisdom of telling police to stand down. Already, cities across the country are seeing murder rates and shootings spike upwards, including in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles, thanks in large part to the riots and to elected officials withdrawing police during the crisis.

Guess you need police after all.

Democrats were already divided on the issue when the riots began. In a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll, a solid 64 percent of Americans reject the idea of defunding the police, including 91 percent of Republicans, 45 percent of Democrats, 43 percent of blacks, 58 percent of Hispanics and 74 percent of whites.

That political divide, which pits younger radical Democrats versus those older, creates a huge political opportunity for President Donald Trump on law and order versus former Vice President Joe Biden, who to keep his party together will have to by definition take a weaker stance. As can be seen in the former CHAZ, the majority Biden would build there is on a foundation of sand.

The globalist vision of America has completely and utterly failed Americans.  Donald Trump has changed course away from our nation serving as the donor state for the socialist dreams of Europe and the communist Chinese government’s aggressive expansionist policies.

The China policy is the most glaring example of this failure. The futile hope that by enriching China, they would embrace capitalism has collapsed, as China has used the wealth gained from their trade advantage, the intellectual property that they stole from our companies, universities and government, and the labor that they enslaved to build a military designed to defeat us in battle combined with their engaging in grotesque human rights abuses of Muslim Uyghers and their burgeoning Christian population has turned this hope to a nightmare.

Donald Trump has changed this course, and those who have benefitted most from the failed American trade policy of the two Bush presidencies, Clinton and Obama, or are too dumb to recognize its failure would rather have the radicals on the streets take the levers of power in our nation and lead the way to China’s hegemony in the world than to see President Trump serve four more years.

Personally, I feel sorry for those so engorged in hate and fear of the common sense changes that President Trump has brought forward that they cannot see that America is the world’s best hope for freedom and that beacon shines most brightly when our people are prospering.

Prior to the unleashing of the Chinese-originated virus, Americans were working and making more money with very low inflation.  The wage growth was concentrated on those who made the least, and truly lifted all boats.  Record low unemployment for Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians showed that the Trump economy knew no colors.

An economic expansion was made possible due to sensible trade policy and tried and true Republican principles of lower taxes and less government intrusion into our lives.  Yet, some former of my former colleagues in the Bush administration are now rejecting these very principles in their endorsement of an empty suit Biden who has promised to strangle America energy independence with his Green New Deal, impose nationalized health care, raise taxes on 83 percent of Americans by repealing the Trump tax cuts, and roll back our historic friendship with Israel.

I understand that President Trump’s rough demeanor seems so coarse to the erudite Ivy crowd, but the world is a coarse place and America is better and stronger when we are free rather than knuckling under to two-bit thugs whether they be foreign or domestic. I stand with President Trump and invite the thousands of former George W. Bush political appointees to publicly join me.

Trump keeps promise to end NAFTA

July 1, 2020, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement praising President Donald Trump and his administration for successful launch of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement trade deal and the end of NAFTA:

“Today President Trump kept a promise that many before him failed at, he ended NAFTA and replaced it with a trade deal which will help rebuild the American economy.

“Combined Canada and Mexico are our nation’s largest trading partners.  Today marks a new day in these relationships and it was only through President Trump’s leadership that it was achieved. Our nation’s economy will recover from the Chinese-originated virus and the President’s visionary new USMCA trade agreement will play a big role in that long-term, sustained growth.”
