ABC just pulled Jimmy Kimmel off the air, and it happened just hours after Trump’s FCC chair threatened to strip ABC’s broadcast license over jokes Kimmel made about Trump.

This is censorship. No other way to say it.

Corporate media executives are caving to Trump’s authoritarian bullying — and if we don’t push back now, this won’t stop with Jimmy Kimmel.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Trump attack critics and try to muzzle the press:

→ He’s tried to shut down NPR and PBS.

→ He’s sued independent outlets into silence.

→ He’s threatened to jail peaceful protesters.

Now, he’s pressuring networks to take down comedians and commentators who call him out. And ABC executives are falling in line to protect their profit margins.

If the media keeps bowing to Trump, our democracy is in serious danger. The First Amendment guarantees a free press — not one controlled by fear of retaliation from a president.
