Earlier this summer, USA for UNFPA — the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency — set an ambitious goal to mobilize enough support to provide 2,500 Dignity Kits to women and girls in places like Gaza to uphold their health and dignity in unbearable conditions, because periods do not stop in conflict.

Now, we have only 5 days left to provide as many kits as possible to women and girls in countries where they’re needed most.

Each UNFPA Dignity Kit contains essentials we take for granted that are either too expensive or completely inaccessible: sanitary pads, soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and clean underwear. But these kits are more than just a collection of hygiene products — they are an affirmation of the dignity that every woman and girl deserves, no matter where they are or what challenges they face. 

That’s why supplying and distributing UNFPA Dignity Kit is a significant portion of our humanitarian response, and the support of people like you has made a world of difference — we have been able to reach women and girls in violence-torn regions all across the globe, in places like Gaza, Yemen, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Haiti, to support the maintenance of their menstrual health and their confidence.

Since October 2023, we have delivered over 134,000 Dignity Kits to women and girls in Gaza, and in 2024 alone, UNFPA delivered almost 896,000 Dignity Kits worldwide. Now, we are close to reaching our 2,500 Dignity Kit goal for the summer — but we’re not quite there yet.
