Just when you thought the Democrats' field for governor couldn't get any more extreme, another far-left radical jumps in. Yesterday, State Rep. Francesca Hong—a proud member of the Democratic Socialists of America and the Wisconsin Legislative Socialist Caucus—announced her bid for governor, promising to be a "wild card" in the race. If that's not a red flag, I don't know what is!

Hong isn't hiding her socialist agenda. She's pushed for an "Economic Bill of Rights" that would hand over more control to big government, hiking costs on hardworking families and small businesses. She's backed extreme climate mandates aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050, which could crush our energy sector and kill jobs in manufacturing and agriculture.

She's joining an already crowded field of left-wing Democrats like Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, Sen. Kelda Roys, and Milwaukee County Exec David Crowley, all vying to outdo each other on progressive policies that would raise taxes, expand government overreach, and weaken our state's economy. How far-left are they willing to go? From socialist caucuses to job-killing green deals, it's clear: these candidates are out of touch with Wisconsin values.
