John,
At the beginning of his term, Trump invited billionaire Elon Musk to run “DOGE,”to clean up government “waste and mismanagement” but he left the definition of “waste and mismanagement” up to Musk.
This resulted in millions of dollars, services, tens of thousands of career civil servants being cut staff of federal agencies, and so much more.
Now, we’re seeing those trickle-down effects.
These cuts are actively killing public media – which mostly affects rural areas. People everywhere deserve to know what’s going on in the world, and it’s not fair for our rural neighbors to be punished because of the mercurial whims of a billionaire.
If you agree, would you add your name right now to support public media? We cannot allow Trump a monopoly over our information systems, and that’s exactly where we’re headed.

Kalamazoo’s WMUK is one of the stations significantly affected by the public media budget cuts. This station distributes news and information from Grand Rapids to Elkhart, Indiana.
Bill Huizenga voted to rescind those federal funds, and now our neighbors in our most rural areas are being punished for it.
Would you add your name to support public media?
Thank you,
Team Jessica
