The Trump Administration is considering yet another gift to the fossil fuel industry.

After spending months promoting fossil fuels and dismantling incentives for renewable energy, Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now considering halting the regulation of climate-warming pollution.

Tell the EPA: Do your job! Climate warming pollution is a threat to our health and environment, and must be regulated.

In 2009, the EPA took a critical step toward protecting our climate by officially acknowledging that greenhouse gases harm public health – called the “Endangerment Finding.”

This decision paved the way for the regulation of emissions that are a primary driver of climate change.

This finding is supported by an overwhelming scientific consensus and has been upheld in the courts. Yet, in a massive gift to the fossil fuel industry, Trump’s EPA is moving to strip its own ability to keep us safe from industrial pollution. Simply put, they want to take away the mechanisms for fighting climate change.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has described this move as part of “the largest deregulatory action in the history of America.” In reality, it may be the biggest gift to industrial polluters in American history.
