Join us for our upcoming eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course for those in the performing arts and entertainment!
MBSR uses meditation, gentle yoga and inquiry as a way of training people to relate differently to stresses in their lives. It was originally developed for patients in chronic pain and has since been shown to be beneficial for dealing with stress, anxiety and depression.
This online course is free of charge and requires participants to attend an orientation session on Monday, September 22, Tuesday, September 23 or Thursday, September 25, as well as a brief one-on-one interview. These orientation sessions will provide an in-depth look at the course, give an introduction to mindfulness meditation and allow you to ask any questions you have about the course.
The Monday cohort will take place on eight consecutive Mondays, from September 29 through November 17. The Tuesday cohort will take place on eight consecutive Tuesdays from September 30 through November 18. There will be an all-day retreat on Saturday, November 9.
