An endorsement from from Mayor Brian Turnbull...


** In these extraordinary times, I would like to slow down for a moment and express my true opinion of Bob Nix… Bob is a tireless advocate for the betterment of this community. I have known, and worked alongside, Bob for decades – in the community, at our church, and for the progress of Northville on many projects. I follow my late parents’ advice of ‘LEARN, DO, and then GIVE BACK,’ like Bob has done all his life.
Bob is one of the main reasons I engaged more civically. He has been an inspiration and a mentor of what a municipal leader should be. Since I have been in office as the Mayor of Northville, I believe the City and the Township could not be working better together. We have collaborated on the Waste Management facility challenges to protect our community, we have worked hand-in-hand on activities in town at the Fish Hatchery Park and we sit on the Parks and Recreation board together, a committee Bob chairs.
Bob brings stable and unfaltering leadership during these unprecedented and unstable times. Through the recent Pandemic, we have worked together supporting our local businesses, finding funds for PPE, implementing emergency measures, and efforts to keep all Northville residents safe and healthy. In addition to the local response to the global crisis, Bob and his public safety team supported the City and our police forces to ensure that the rallies in downtown Northville for Black Lives Matter were peaceful and safe for all participants and residents. This partnership has benefited and financially assisted, all community citizens.
Additionally, it is my pleasure to sit on the Conference of Western Wayne (CWW) Board and the 35th District Court Board of Directors, of which Bob Nix is Chairperson. Whether he is fighting for legislation in Lansing or Washington DC, leading efforts and partnerships with surrounding communities or mentoring other civic leaders, Bob is a meticulous and dedicated public servant who is committed to the residents of Northville Township - Government.
I fully endorse Bob Nix for Northville Township Supervisor ([link removed]) and look forward to continuing the momentum we have built for Northville. Bob thoughtfully understands that the decisions we are making today will have a strong impact on the next generation. I cannot think of a better leader, a more trustworthy collaborator, or a more authentic and generous man than Bob Nix. The Conference of Western Wayne thought enough of Bob to make him their Chairman. We are privileged and fortunate to have Bob Nix as the Northville Township Supervisor and it would be a disservice to us all to not re-elect Bob Nix for Northville Township Supervisor. I look forward to working with him for many years to come. Get out & enjoy the Summer… it’s up to us to assist Northville to re-engage.
