Folks,
I think we can all agree: the last few weeks have been incredibly challenging for our country.
It’s time to turn down the temperature, come together as a country, and start getting things done.
Today I’m calling on my colleagues and this administration to join me in charting a better path forward. That starts with:
* Extending the Obamacare tax credits now – rather than let health care premiums rise 75% for Americans who get their coverage from the Obamacare marketplace. Donald Trump got elected on the promise of bringing down prices for Americans, and I don’t think anyone wants to see the cost of health care go up.
* Ending the politicization of our national intelligence operations and health care community – to let our scientists and experts do their jobs unhindered by political agendas and fear of retribution. That shouldn’t be controversial.
* Rejecting the calls of radical extremists who want to further divide us – like Laura Loomer who is now asking Donald Trump to be a “dictator” and calling for the Right to lock up and silence their political opposition.
If you believe our country is better than this – and believe a better way forward is possible – then I need you to join me in the work that lies ahead.
My campaign is coming up on an important end-of-quarter fundraising deadline at the end of the month, and I need your help to close out the quarter on a strong note. Will you chip in anything you can before midnight to support my reelection campaign and join the fight for a better path forward?
