The Lincoln Project

Friend,

MAGA: We hate cancel culture.

Also MAGA: Cancel everybody who doesn’t pledge allegiance to the Dear Leader.

This is a dangerous time for our democracy.

First, Trump got Colbert fired because he didn’t like his jokes.

Yesterday, Trump claimed another one - Jimmy Kimmel.

What’s next? Yep, you guessed it.

In case you missed the trend here, Donald Trump is trying to take down every outlet that disagrees with him. He threatens lawsuits or FCC action or whatever he can do to silence critics.

And you know what? Too many times, it’s worked. From Bob Iger capitulating to universities and law firms settling their lawsuits, he knows he can push and push and push.

Where have we seen this before? Nazi Germany, Russia, North Korea, you know, nations with fascist dictators.

This isn’t America. And even though Donald Trump (known Epstein associate) is trying everything in his power to turn our democracy into a dictatorship, we’re not having it. We refuse to let this happen.

Our work here is important. We represent the opposition. That’s why we’re putting all of our time and resources into making sure Donald Trump falls flat on his face in his mission to destroy our democracy. Like we’ve always said, this is how it starts. Chip in so we can hold the line >>
