I had the chance to work
alongside Deb in Congress, where she made history as one of the first
Native women elected to the House. I saw her fight tirelessly for the
rights and futures of working people in New Mexico.
Together, arm in arm, we worked to protect America’s lands and waters. Deb
understands the urgent need for conservation—to safeguard public lands,
wildlife, and address the threat of climate change. She’s built a
reputation as a leader who listens, brings people together, and delivers
results—strengthening our economy, supporting families, and protecting New
Mexico’s natural resources.
Which is why for the first time I am endorsing a candidate in a
gubernatorial primary – the stakes are too high. We need a strong Governor
who has our backs and whose focus has never strayed from championing
working families, healthcare, protecting our natural treasures, and
keeping our public lands out of private hands.
The truth is: Deb is the
only candidate running in this race who will be ready to stand up to the
