I spent over 30 years serving this country — as a fighter pilot, a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, and as a NASA astronaut.

And what I saw this week deeply disturbed me.

Vladimir Putin launched drones into Poland — a NATO ally, which had to be shot down by NATO forces. This was a deliberate test, a probe of NATO’s defenses, and a challenge to our resolve.

Thus far, Donald Trump has done nothing to answer this aggression as the “leader” of the free world and Commander-in-Chief of the mightiest military on the planet.

I didn’t serve this country to watch our military kneel before war criminals. I didn’t wear the uniform to watch our alliances crumble and our enemies grow bolder.

Putin doesn’t respect Trump. He sees nothing but weakness. And weakness in the face of aggression invites catastrophe.

That’s why I’m running for the U.S. Senate. Because we cannot afford to be weak domestically or abroad. Not now. Not ever.

We need leaders who understand what strength, honor, and duty mean — not performative tough talk, but real experience. I’ve flown F‑16s in combat. I’ve led missions in space. I’ve made life-or-death decisions under pressure. That’s what leadership looks like.
