A survivor of sex trafficking.

Support Polaris
Dear John,

I want to tell you about Ursel Hughes, a young victim of sex trafficking who reached out to the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline. While 20 years old and seven months pregnant with her pimp's baby, Ursel was beaten so severely by her trafficker that she required medical care for broken teeth and a bruised and bloodied face. She was too scared to ask for help at the hospital, but a nurse gave her the number to the Trafficking Hotline. Eventually, Ursel called, and with help from a Hotline Advocate, she developed a plan to leave her trafficking situation. After her son was born, Ursel knew she had to leave her trafficker for good and because of the Trafficking Hotline, she safely exited her situation.

Your support for Polaris, the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, and the fight against sex and labor trafficking has never been more important than right now. Victims and survivors like Ursel need support today, no matter what else is happening in the world.
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL BY
JULY 30TH!

That's why I'm asking you to make a special gift today to ensure the Trafficking Hotline continues to operate and helps victims and survivors. And because of the special matching opportunity thanks to an anonymous foundation, all donations made to Polaris by July 30th will be tripled up to $100,000.

Your first gift will help thousands of victims and survivors who reach out to the Trafficking Hotline every year. Ursel is grateful that Polaris answered her call and she believes that without help from the Trafficking Hotline, she and her son would not be alive today. Thank you for caring and for your generosity at a time of unprecedented global need.

Be well,

Emily K. Tracy
Chief Development Officer

P.S. Please don't wait to support Polaris and critical social safety nets like the Trafficking Hotline. Your contribution will be tripled, up to $100,000, if made by July 30th, World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
