Virginia's House of Delegates is hanging by a thread — Democrats hold just a 51-49 majority. And in just 47 days, voters will decide whether we expand that majority or let Republicans take it all back.

Here's what's at stake: Republicans hold ten seats we can flip with our Democratic pro-choice women, plus the governorship and lieutenant governorship — only if we have the resources to compete. The GOP caucus is packed with Trump loyalists and career politicians, and the next legislature will vote on constitutional amendments that could shape abortion access, marriage equality, and voting rights for a generation.
And based on their current actions, we already know what the Virginia Republicans' agenda looks like. They have stood by as rural clinics close because of Trump’s Medicaid cuts. They’ve backed Trump's "Billionaire Budget Bill," which will cost Virginians millions of dollars, even as their own constituents lose jobs because of reckless economic policies.
But EMILYs List women are ready to lead. Lily Franklin and Kimberly Pope Adams came within striking distance of victory last cycle, and May Nivar is challenging one of Donald Trump’s most loyal yes-men. With the right support, our entire slate of champions can win this fall and protect Virginia from Republican overreach.
