Hi John — I had a proud Mainer moment over the weekend, and I just had to share. My husband, two kids, and I went to our first Hearts of Pine soccer game in Portland.

The community, the beautiful fall evening, the people — it all reminded me of how proud I am to be a lifelong Mainer.

(It also scored me some cool mom brownie points with my son, who is a huge soccer fan! He got a few player signatures after the game. 😉)

I’m running for governor because the Trump administration has waged an all-out assault on the things we hold dear. Our beautiful natural resources and state parks, our public education funding, health care access — they’re all on the line.

The thing is, I know I have what it takes to hold the line against the Trump administration and work to address the problems our neighbors are facing.

I know because I’ve done it before. I’ve served at every level from the school board to Speaker of the Maine House. I’ve brought Mainers together and delivered real results, and I have a long track record of taking on tough fights and winning.
