John, like many of us in Southeast Pennsylvania, I rely on SEPTA for my commute – from eastern Chester County to Philly where I pick up Amtrak to Washington, D.C.

Over 1 million people use SEPTA every day – it’s the backbone of public transit in our region - which is why I’m grateful to our governor, Josh Shapiro, for stepping in to stop massive service cuts from becoming permanent. This is just a two-year fix but it gives the state legislature – and all of us who rely on SEPTA – some breathing room to figure out a long-term solution.

As an engineer and entrepreneur, I know firsthand how important our infrastructure is – it helps people get to work and school, increases the vitality of our communities, helps businesses get the supplies they need and deliver their finished products faster, and creates more jobs and vital improvements across our region. 

And as a strong advocate in Congress for U.S. Department of Transportation support for SEPTA and regional transportation networks like it around the country, I promise to always fight for funding, modernization, and expansion. Will you chip in $5 right now so that I can continue delivering on the issues that matter most to you, build on the momentum of wins like these, and help elect Democratic leaders who are willing to do what's best for our community?

Funding SEPTA is a major win for all of us here in PA-06, because now every commuter, student, and family who depends on it for transportation can get around our vibrant district. Thank you to everyone who raised their concerns and helped move the needle on this important community issue.
