Four days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated in front of the world, members of the IRC REC organized a tribute that won't be forgotten. Karen Osborne began the spark at the REC meeeting Wednesday night that turned into a fire as messaging took hold throughout the conservative side of our town. At Republican headquarters Friday, folks were making signs (not paid for posters like the Dems use), and contacting the police for an OK. Turn out was a bonfire of love for a great man. More than 200 people gathered for 2 hours at 58th and Rt.60 with flags, black ribbons, and prayers for Charlie Kirk. Thousands of cars honked, waved and videoed the celebration of life. We showed Vero Beach what we thought of this courageous Christian martyr. While the college aged youth he liberated from academic indoctrination will eventually overcome their shock, we expect Charlie's message of love and understanding to live on stronger than ever through them.
