Donald Trump, JD Vance, my former political party, all of MAGA world, all of the right wing is—if it wasn’t clear before the assassination of MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk last week, it had better be damn clear to everybody now—governed by, lead with, and believe the path of victory follows fear and cruelty and ignorance. That's what Trump leads with every fucking day.
Fear, cruelty, and ignorance. That’s what they’re all about. They believe that if they can scare the shit out of the American people, if they can show how damn mean and cruel they are to the American people, and, boy, if they can just laugh at their ignorance, the American people will vote for them.
We are so much better than this, and we’ve got to show it.
