Donald Trump is building a judiciary that will not defend the Constitution
– it will dismantle it.
We’ve already seen how his regime treats fundamental freedoms. After the
assassination of Charlie Kirk, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen
Miller openly vowed to “destroy left-wing NGOs” – a threat aimed at
silencing organized opposition and crippling the groups that challenge
Trump’s power. Around the same time, Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi
threatened to use the Justice Department to “target people who engage in
hate speech,” a deliberately vague mandate that could sweep up activists,
journalists, or ordinary Americans exercising their right to
protest.^[1,2]
These are not isolated comments. They are part of a chilling pattern: a
government openly preparing to criminalize dissent and weaponize tragedy
in order to further consolidate power. And if Trump continues filling the
courts with his handpicked loyalists, these threats will no longer be
rhetoric. They will be brutally real.

The judiciary is supposed to be the safeguard when political leaders
overreach. But Trump is determined to capture it – transforming the very
institution designed to check his power into the tool he uses to cement
it. With his nominees on the bench, free speech and assembly, long
protected by the First Amendment and enforced by the courts, would be
trampled in service of his agenda.
That is why this moment demands national resistance. The Senate cannot
allow Trump’s judges to take the bench. Every confirmation is not just
another seat filled – it is another blow to the rights and freedoms we are
fighting to preserve.

If we lose this fight, the courts will not protect us – they will be used
against us. Every protest, every organizing effort, every attempt to speak
out could be met with a gavel that sides with Trump instead of the
Constitution. But if we act together, we can stop this before it’s locked
in for a generation. The Senate must hear us – loud and clear. We must be
relentless.
Because the stakes are very real. It’s about whether the courts remain a
safeguard for freedom – or become part of the arsenal used to destroy it.
