Dear Friends,
I am excited to share the latest news from Congress and the work I am doing in Washington, D.C., on behalf of the 34th Congressional District of Texas.
Warm regards,

Congressman Vicente Gonzalez

Discussing the Border & Mental Health with Frank McCaffrey on Channel 4
Full Interview HERE
I sat down with Frank McCaffrey on Inside Valley Politics to discuss the border and the need for better mental health services.
I am in full support of establishing a legal pathway for migrants who wish to enter our country, contribute to our economy, and become active members of our communities. But, in order to make this possible, Congress must work in a bipartisan manner to pass common-sense reforms that create an efficient, streamlined process for those who exhibit the need, and have no criminal background.
Setting the Record Straight – The Big Ugly Bill Fails South Texans
Watch HERE
I want to set the record straight on the “Big, Ugly Bill”. The bottom line is it is an absolute betrayal to the American people. I am a member of Congress that proudly crosses the aisle to support common sense policies, but I could not, in good conscious, support a bill that guts healthcare and takes away vital services like SNAP and Meals on Wheels from our children, seniors, and veterans. Under this bill, at least 17 million Americans, including nearly 100,000 South Texans, could lose their healthcare, all while adding at least $3.4 trillion to the national debt. 9/11 Remembrance Day – Honoring the Fallen Heroes for their Service and Sacrifice
On Wednesday, September 11th, Team Gonzalez attended ceremonies in both Corpus Christi and Cameron County to honor the lives lost in the horrific terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and paid tribute to the heroic first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice that solemn day. May we never forget the lessons of unity, courage, and compassion that this day teaches us.
