Hi friend,
In a democracy, voters are supposed to choose their leaders, not the other way around.
That simple principle is at the heart of why I’m heading to Indiana to stand up to Donald Trump’s partisan redistricting efforts.
I’ll share more about why in a moment — but first, it would mean so much if you could make a contribution to help fuel this work:

Here’s what’s at stake: Donald Trump and Washington Republicans know their policies are deeply unpopular. That includes the “Big Beautiful Bill” featuring tax cuts for billionaires, paid for by ripping health care from millions.
If they run on this record in a healthy democracy, Republicans will lose. Voters will get the chance to respond at the ballot box and elect leaders who reflect their values and interests in ways that Trump and his allies cannot.
Trump’s response? Pressuring states to redraw congressional maps to guarantee Republican control of the House, no matter what voters want.
In my home state of Indiana, they’re openly talking about the goal of a 9–0 map, with election outcomes dictated by the shape of the maps, no matter how people vote. You don’t have to be a Democrat to see that this is wrong.
When maps are rigged, communities lose their voice on issues that matter most: schools, jobs, health care – the building blocks of everyday life.
That’s why I’m joining Indiana Democrats this week for a rally at the statehouse to call attention to this issue and to remind our leaders that power belongs in the hands of voters.
And I’m reaching out because I need your help in this effort.
Will you please consider chipping in today to help fuel our work? Together, we can show that Americans everywhere are ready to stand up for democracy.
