John,
On September 17, 1787, our Constitution was ratified and signed by our nation’s founders.
Today, 238 years later, one President is shredding that Constitution on a daily basis. It’s time to show Donald Trump that America has No Kings!
That’s why in a month, on October 18th, Americans will mobilize for one of the largest grassroots protests in the history of our country.
Every day brings a new crackdown on organizations that tell the truth about the right-wing agenda. We’re standing up, but we need to know that you’re standing with us. Can you pitch in $7 to keep Social Security Works fighting to protect our earned benefits?
Let’s be clear: Rising fascism and the planned destruction of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are not separate issues. In fact, that’s what the fascism is for. They want Americans afraid to speak up to Trump’s oligarchic agenda, so that they can steal our health care and our Social Security and line the pockets of billionaires like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
In a world where Congressional Republicans cared what their constituents want, the Big Ugly Bill would never have become law. There is not a single Congressional district in the United States where more than 15 percent of voters supported cuts to Medicaid―let alone $1 trillion in cuts.
This is the behavior of Republicans who do not believe there will be a free and fair election in 2026 or 2028. And Trump is taking the first steps to make that a reality by forcing through new gerrymandering schemes and threatening his political opponents.
We’re not afraid. We’re still mobilizing to STOP Trump’s agenda, on Capitol Hill and around the country. Can you chip in to our fearless advocacy to save Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security from Trump?
Thank you,
Alex Lawson Social Security Works
P.S. Next month’s No Kings rallies are shaping up to be the largest day of resistance to Trump’s dictatorial ambitions yet. No matter where you live, there is almost certainly a rally near you. Find a No Kings rally here and make your voice heard.
