Friends,
Olive trees uprooted, farmland turned into wasteland. Water lines cut and tanks punctured, leaving families without drinking water. Homes torched in the dead of night, families terrorized by violent settlers ransacking their communities.Â
And the perpetrators walk free. These are the scenes across Area C of the occupied West Bank, in Palestinian villages like Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta.Â
Tomorrow at 12pm Eastern / 9am Pacific, we’ll hear directly from those on the ground, Eid Hathaleen, a non-violent activist from Umm al-Khair whose cousin was murdered by a violent settler in July, and Yehuda Shaul, a former IDF soldier and leading Israeli anti-occupation policy expert.

Yehuda will help us understand the larger system behind settler terrorism – how armed settlers, the expansion of illegal outposts and the extremists in Netanyahu’s coalition work together to expel Palestinian communities like Eid’s from their land.Â
And we’ll hear a first-hand account from Eid, a longtime advocate for non-violence and peace, who was forced to see the man who killed his beloved cousin walking free outside his home while bulldozers and caravans cut his village in half.Â
This is the reality in the occupied West Bank. This is what settler impunity looks like. And it’s why our J Street community is lobbying Members of Congress to reimpose Biden-era sanctions on violent settlers. Join us at 12pm Eastern / 9am Pacific tomorrow >>
In solidarity,
