Every so often, I stop and ask myself why I’m doing this. Why I’m running for Congress. Why I’m putting my family and myself through the grind of a campaign against Donald Trump’s MAGA machine.
And the answer always takes me back to where I came from.
When my dad got sick with MS, we relied on Medicaid and food stamps just to get by. I know what it’s like to wonder how you’ll put food on the table. Later, I fought through opioid addiction and chronic pain — struggles that nearly broke me. But I came out the other side with a deeper purpose: to fight like hell for families who are barely holding it together.
That’s my “why.”
Because right now, too many families in Eastern Colorado are being left behind while politicians in Washington bicker, posture, and chase headlines. Folks don’t need another celebrity politician or corporate puppet. They need someone who’s lived the struggle, who understands what it means to get knocked down, and who’s not afraid to fight for them.
That’s why I refuse corporate PAC money. That’s why I’m running this campaign powered by people like you. And that’s why I’m asking, will you chip in today to help me keep fighting for our future?
