Luigi Mangione (left), Ryan Routh (center), and Tyler Robinson (right) all appeared in court yesterday for their crimes of murder or attempted murder. All three are men of the Left.
When it comes to political violence, there is no “both sides.”
Debating Free Speech
It’s laughable to hear the Left screaming about free speech as hundreds of hate-filled leftists are being fired for their disgusting and demented comments celebrating Charlie Kirk’s bloody assassination. Charlie Kirk was a tremendous advocate for free speech, and a radical leftist killed him in the middle of a debate!
And where were all these leftist “free speech advocates” during the Biden administration?
Biden and his Deep State ideologues did everything they could to restrict free speech. They put heavy pressure on social media companies to censor dissent about COVID, and they censored the truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop. They will do it again—and even more aggressively—if they regain power.
While so-called “progressives” are free to say horrible things and expose themselves as intolerant bigots, they are not free from the consequences of their actions. Employers have the right to fire employees who engage in speech that threatens the reputation of the business or organization.
For example, the University of Tennessee suspended a professor and began the process to remove her after she posted this about Charlie Kirk:
“The world is better off without him in it. Even those who are claiming to be sad for his wife and kids… like, his kids are better off living in a world without a disgusting psychopath like him. And his wife, well, she’s a sick f--k for marrying him, so I don’t care about her feelings.”
She is “free” to speak such hate. The government will not put her in jail for doing so. But her speech is not protected from consequences.
Her firing is the result of us exercising our free speech to say, “These comments are unacceptable at a publicly funded university, and we demand the university uphold certain standards.”
Quite frankly, the taxpayers of Tennessee will be much better off without her. There is not a big market for her research into the “Queer Life-Worlds in Postsocialist Armenia” or her review of “After Love: Queer Intimacy And Erotic Economies In Post-Soviet Cuba.”
Puppy Love?
ABC News reporter Matt Gutman is another person who ought to be fired.
Yesterday, Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray held a press conference and read a text exchange between Charlie Kirk’s murderer, Tyler Robinson, and Lance Twiggs, Robinson’s transgender/homosexual lover. Here’s how Gutman described those text messages:
“I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a press conference in which we’ve read text messages that are so fulsome, so robust, so apparently, allegedly self-incriminating, and yet, on the other hand, so touching.
“With the suspect reaching out to his roommate, who is allegedly his boyfriend, who we understand identified as male at birth and now identifies as female. And the terminology he used, he was trying to protect him.
“He kept calling him ‘my love,’ ‘my reason for doing this is to protect you.’ . . . So there’s this heartbreaking duality that we’re seeing very tragically playing out here.”
“Fulsome.” “Robust.” “Touching.” “Heartbreaking.” What?! Gutman must be touched in the head!
I’m sure Charles Manson whispered sweet nothings to the sex slaves who gathered around him. Those women obviously loved him. They did anything for him, including killing.
The fact that Gutman was so emotionally overwhelmed by two deranged individuals discussing a violent murder is proof of what happens when people are ripped away from our Judeo-Christian truths. They can’t be discerning about anything.
This is emblematic of the moral sickness in our society, particularly at a time when that type of “love,” sexual confusion, and transgender ideology regularly result in dead Christians, including students in Nashville, students in Minneapolis, and now Charlie Kirk.
It’s beyond outrageous that ABC News is trying to humanize the murder’s love for a man who is transitioning to become a “woman” and was part of the “furry” subculture, acting and dressing like he’s an animal.
And we’re supposed to get teary-eyed about their affection for one another?
CNN Too
Montel Williams repeated the same theme on CNN. Referring to Charlie Kirk’s assassin, Williams said:
“We’re talking about a love-torn child, a kid. This is probably his first real relationship. And somebody was disparaging the person that he loved. He sat on that building for 30 minutes before he took the shot. Why do you wait until the first word ‘trans’ came up? Then he took the shot.
“I think he could hear it. I don't believe he was motivated politically. I think this was motivated emotionally. I think this was an emotionally stunted person who literally, when I say it this way, just hear me, tried to defend his significant other. . .”
Luigi Mangione, who assassinated a healthcare executive, is already a leftist/communist “folk hero.” Now, there is a real effort underway to turn Charlie Kirk’s murderer into another folk hero who was just “defending his lover.”
Neither Donald Trump nor Charlie Kirk ever disparaged his lover. All they are saying is, “You don’t have a right to walk into women’s bathrooms and teach whatever sickness has infected you to our children.”
If a parent goes to a school board meeting to object to a teacher reading Heather Has Two Mommies to her young child, Williams, Gutman, none of these people would ever say about that parent, “It’s so touching how that parent loves their child.”
About Those Texts. . .
I can’t prove it, but my hunch is that the text exchange between Robinson and his homosexual lover was to some extent scripted. Its purpose was to try to create a record showing that Twiggs, and by extension others, didn’t know what the killer was planning to do.
When I read the texts, they sounded too contrived. By the way, no young person sends text messages like the exchange between these two men. There were virtually no abbreviations, and the punctuation was nearly perfect. Nonetheless, there were mistakes.
After Kirk’s assassination, Robinson texted Twiggs and told him to look under his keyboard. The killer left a note that read, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.” Police reportedly found a picture of the note. Where’s the original note?
At another point, Robinson texted to his homosexual lover, “remember how I was engraving bullets?” He then adds, “delete this exchange.”
If the note was destroyed, that may well justify a charge of obstruction of justice for the transgender roommate. For now, Twiggs is cooperating, and prosecutors may be content to continue that arrangement. But once the need for that cooperation is over, I hope they don’t drop the possibility of prosecuting Twiggs as well.
Williams Is Wrong
Montel Williams’s claim that Charlie Kirk was murdered out of “love” is ludicrous. This is not some modern, twisted version of Romeo and Juliet.
There is absolutely no doubt that the motivation was transgender ideology—the very thing that the media desperately tried to hide in the Minneapolis shooting and by hiding the Nashville shooter’s manifesto for three years.
Where does this raw hatred of normalcy, Christians, and children come from? What are the groups behind it? And why is virtually the entire media establishment committed to hiding the fact that trans ideology is spawning killers?
From a purely theological basis, if you believe there is no God and you’re delusional enough to believe you can be your own god by changing your gender, then there is nothing other than fear of being captured that would restrain you from killing anyone who gets in your way, especially Christians who are a daily reminder that there is a God.
Hate & Rights
One major left-wing theme about Charlie Kirk’s murder is that he deserved it—“That’s what happens to haters” and “You reap what you sow.” Robinson’s parents said their son had become very political, moved to the far left, and was an advocate of LGBTQ rights. He told his lover, “I had enough of his [Kirk’s] hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out.”
LGBTQ people have the same rights all Americans have. They have freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the right to vote, etc. Why are the killer and others on the Left spewing hatred of Charlie Kirk, claiming they are fighting for LGBTQ rights? All those rights are already available to them.
The battle raging is not a civil rights struggle. They are pushing an evil public policy agenda that we will not accept.
The most prominent battle is over our children. They are demanding the “right” to give our children graphic information about LGBTQ sexual practices in the earliest grades possible in school. Through transgender propaganda—sowing confusion into the minds of little children—they want to recruit as many of those children as possible into their ideology.
And powerful forces in the country, the popular culture, the media, the teachers’ unions, the medical establishment, and leftist politicians aid and abet them in this battle.
When we object to a book that is promoting this ideology to young children in our schools, these powerful forces shout, “You’re banning books!”
No books are being banned. Not one. Zero.
When an R rating is put on a movie, the movie hasn’t been banned. A simple moral judgment has been made about the age appropriateness of the film.
Any LGBTQ couple can buy a sexually explicit/trans-pushing book and read it to their unfortunate children. They can do that anytime they want.
But that’s not what they want. They want to read it to your child. That must not happen. This is a hill we must die on if necessary.
Christians must not fall into the trap of thinking we just need to be kinder and more welcoming. There are plenty of churches flying gay pride flags. The LGBTQ hatred exists because we resist their ideology being forced on our children.
Pray For Erika
Please continue to keep Erika Kirk and her young children in your prayers. There have been several references to Charlie being murdered in front of his family, and Robinson is charged with aggravated murder for committing a violent offense in front of a child.
When President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, the fact that his wife was in the car with him lent obvious drama and emotion to reporting on the assassination. How is that not a major factor in the reporting of Charlie Kirk’s murder?
Many hate-filled leftists mocked the fact that Kirk’s daughter witnessed her father’s death, but most media ignored it.
I hold Erika Kirk in even higher esteem for finding the strength and courage to go on nationwide TV just 48 hours later. She not only defended her husband, but she also praised God and issued a battle cry to resist the Left’s nihilistic insanity that is engulfing our country.
She said she will bury her husband and then put on the full armor of God and fight for the values Charlie championed. We must do the same.
Mangione Madness
What we saw yesterday outside of a New York City courthouse was chilling. A judge determined that Luigi Mangione did not qualify for a first-degree murder charge because terrorism must be the motive of the crime. That’s a sad example of how “progressive” values have polluted New York’s laws.
But when this decision was announced, the crowd outside the courthouse engaged in the same type of ghoulish celebration as the people celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk. They took time out of their day to wait outside the courthouse in the hope that charges would be dismissed against a thug who shot a man in the back.
Of course, it’s more than just the people outside the courthouse. There are tens of thousands of sick people who donated money so Mangione could get the best attorneys possible.
