Hi friend,
Do you remember our message from July? Well, this is still happening. The Trump administration is relentlessly planning to incinerate nearly $10 million worth of safe, effective contraceptives that the government has already purchased.
Now we know that it will cost taxpayers nearly $200,000 to destroy the lifesaving birth control pills, injectables and IUDs that they already paid for . This is a disgraceful waste of taxpayers' money.
There is still a chance [[link removed]] [[link removed]] [[link removed]] to protect these commodities from being destroyed. The Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act would prevent the destruction of non-expired contraceptives and any other supplies acquired for foreign assistance.
Can you help save these contraceptives by asking your senators and representatives to co-sponsor the Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act today?

Hi friend,
As of today, nearly $10 million of contraceptives — already purchased by the US government — are sitting in a warehouse instead of being delivered to the health care providers they were meant for.
These condoms, IUDs, pills, and implants were meant for vulnerable women in sub-Saharan Africa, including young girls (who face higher health risks from early pregnancy) and those fleeing conflict. Instead of helping these people avoid unwanted pregnancies, the Trump administration is considering simply destroying the supplies.
Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Brian Schatz (D-HI) have introduced legislation to prevent the administration from destroying the contraceptives, and other essential commodities. The Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act will ensure that these supplies are distributed.
Representatives Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Grace Meng (D-NY), and Lois Frankel (D-FL) have followed suit with similar legislation in the House (H.R. 416).
We must remind our elected officials that we will hold them accountable for their neglect of life-saving aid and abuse of power. Can you take a few moments to urge your senators and representatives to support the Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act today?

This is the direct consequence of intentional policy decisions that repeatedly undermine U.S. foreign aid, showing blatant disregard for humanitarian needs, women’s rights, and taxpayer dollars.
Take a moment to email your senators and representatives TODAY and urge them to co-sponsor the Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act now.
