Subject: [QUIZ] Test your knowledge of wrongful convictions

John, while we may not know for certain how many innocent people are in prison at this very moment, experts have estimated that up to 4% of those incarcerated in the U.S. are wrongfully convicted.

That means there could be at least 100,000 innocent people behind bars at this very moment for a crime that they did not commit.

Knowledge is a critical tool in the fight for justice. With Wrongful Conviction Day approaching on Oct. 2, we invite you to sharpen yours. Taking this short quiz is a powerful first step in understanding the systemic failures that lead to injustice and what we can do to fix them. Will you take two minutes to test your knowledge?

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, the organization is now an independent nonprofit. Our work is guided by science and grounded in anti-racism.
