New Podcast Episode: Breaking Cycles and Building Strong Families

Featuring Kevin Lewis, TakeCharge’s Michigan Director
When TakeCharge launched five years ago, we firmly rejected the victimhood narrative and the lie of systemic racism. Instead, we invited others to help restore our communities by returning to the foundational values of Faith, Family, and Education.

Kevin Lewis was one of the first to answer that call. Raised in a fatherless home, Kevin broke the cycle of poverty by living out these core values. He and his wife, Chae—whom he met at the University of Michigan—have built a thriving family life rooted in faith and purpose. When they began volunteering with TakeCharge, they were raising four young children. Today, their beautiful family has grown to six children strong.

In the latest episode of Truth Without Apology, Kevin joins Bishop Vincent Mathews ([link removed]) to discuss how his upbringing, education, career as a chemical engineer, and spiritual convictions have shaped his approach to family and community.

How do you engineer a strong family?

Kevin’s story is a powerful example of what’s possible when individuals reject victimhood and take charge of their lives.
