Victories and setbacks shaping the future of families

Dear John,

This week brings both sobering reminders and encouraging victories in the fight for life, family, and freedom. From protections for women in Texas, to disturbing revelations in Virginia schools, to even congressional debates about the very source of our rights—it’s clear why our work together matters so much.

Protecting Women’s Private Spaces in Texas

First, there is exciting news out of Texas, where lawmakers have delivered a major victory for women by becoming the 20th state to pass legislation protecting women in their private spaces. The Texas Women’s Privacy Act is a natural outgrowth of our Save Girls’ Sports campaign and represents a growing recognition that women and girls deserve safety and dignity.

Every victory like this builds momentum for restoring common sense across America. Find out more at our Save Girls’ Sports page.

Abortion Trafficking in Virginia Schools

While Texas shows progress, Virginia reveals a deeply troubling reality for women. One Fairfax County high school has been caught in what can only be described as abortion trafficking.

According to reports, school officials in Fairfax County used Virginians’ tax dollars to arrange secret abortions for minors, cutting parents out of the process and coercing vulnerable young women into choices they did not want. Instead of being a place of learning and safety, this school reportedly became a broker for violence, acting like pimps and abusive boyfriends who exploit young women.

This scandal isn’t just about abortion, although that's horrific enough. It’s also about parental rights, the integrity of families, and whether government schools believe they are above God-given authority in the home.

At Family Policy Alliance, we are committed to ensuring stories like this never become the norm. After the fall of Roe, states became renewed battlegrounds for protecting life and parental rights. That’s why our work, and your partnership, matters more than ever.

Our Rights—From God or Government?

And also in Virginia, Senator Tim Kaine recently claimed that our rights do not come from God but from government. That shocking statement prompted a strong response from Senator Ted Cruz and has already sparked conversation on our House to Home podcast.

At Family Policy Alliance, we remain firm: Rights are endowed by our Creator. They are not granted nor to be taken away by the government.

Your faithful partnership ensures that when issues like those in Virginia or victories like Texas arise, there is a strong voice standing for biblical truth. Thank you for your faithfulness as we work together for a nation where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.

For the family,
