This week, Israel began an expanded ground offensive in Gaza City — a move that could force one million Palestinians to flee. Families in Gaza City are already pushed to the brink of survival. This new operation could take months — and lead to new levels of suffering for people who have already endured relentless bombardment, starvation, and displacement. The scale of humanitarian need is catastrophic, and Mercy Corps is continuing to provide clean drinking water. We are prepared to scale up lifesaving assistance to more than 160,000 and support millions more through humanitarian partners as soon as borders open and we can get our supplies in. Please donate now to ensure we have the resources needed to support families living through unimaginable hardship in Gaza and crisis zones across the globe.
From Rami: "I was displaced more than ten times within Gaza City, each time surviving only by a miracle. Leaving Gaza City now for the south was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, emotionally, financially, and psychologically, but it became unavoidable." From Hisham: "The situation in Gaza is beyond dire, and in Gaza City it is even worse. Streets are reduced to rubble, houses lie in ruins, market prices soar beyond reach, transportation has collapsed, and families struggle to find even a sip of clean water... The very thought of displacement is unbearable. In truth, death feels easier than being uprooted into the unknown." The human toll of this conflict is beyond devastating — and we must keep doing whatever we can to support our colleagues and countless families across Gaza who continue to try to survive through this unprecedented catastrophe. If you’re able, please give now to ensure we’re able to meet urgent needs in Gaza and communities across the globe. We’ll provide further updates from Gaza in the weeks ahead. Thanks for your continued support, Mercy Corps |
