Hello, MOGP Family.  

I write today to tell you about a rally happening in NYC tomorrow, September 18th, organized by Lifeline For Palestine.  Jill will be joined by Roger Waters, as well as dozens of Palestinian aid organizations, and (hopefully) thousands of local supporters on the ground.

Lifeline For Palestine is "an emergency initiative to mobilize civil society for a game-changing opportunity to actually end the genocide in Palestine now."  Organizers are calling for the enactment of the following measures, via bypass of the U.N. Security Council:

• Deploy a multinational Protection Force to protect civilians, ensure the delivery of aid, preserve evidence of war crimes & facilitate reconstruction.
• Protect civilian efforts to deliver aid, such as the Global Sumud Flotilla.
• Call for comprehensive sanctions & a full military embargo on Israel.
• Re-activate anti-apartheid measures.
• Establish a War Crimes Tribunal to ensure accountability.
• Reject Israel’s U.N. Credentials (as was done with apartheid South Africa).

Our chapter has consistently called for an end to the genocide, and worked around the state to make the case that the United States can immediately put an end to the stain on our collective humanity in any number of ways.  As such, you, the membership, re-authorized such calls during the August 10th General Meeting.
