“Grateful” is a word you hear from me a lot. But it encompasses everything I feel right now.
Because of you and your incredible support, we outraised our opponent for the third quarter in a row – despite only fundraising for two of the three months. This quarter, while our opponent continued raising money for himself during the worst global health crisis of our lifetime, we suspended fundraising and focused all of our resources on our community, raising $125k for charities on the frontlines of COVID-19 and Black-led organizations leading the fight for justice.
And then when we picked up fundraising again, we raised nearly $2 million in just two months.
This wouldn’t have been possible without your activism. Now, stronger than ever, we continue our fight against a 47-year incumbent. Our fight for bolder, stronger, and more present leadership. Our fight for change.
This campaign is powered by the grassroots donations of our supporters. It’s because of your passion and support that we are going to win on September 1st.
We need leaders in the U.S. Senate who can meet this moment. Who will do more than the very basics of the job. Leaders who will show up and fight by our communities’ sides for Medicare for All, racial justice, climate action, and an economic future where every one of us gets a shot.
This is the fight of a generation. We won’t win with the policies or politicians of the past. Now is the moment where we fix what is badly broken and build a new “normal” — the kind of country we believe in. I wouldn’t be in this fight without you. And I am so grateful for your continued support.
Stay strong. Keep fighting. Let’s do this.
— Joe
P.S. If you didn’t have a chance to donate before the end-of-quarter deadline, that is completely okay. These are incredibly difficult times. But if you’d like to continue driving us forward, you can pitch in here to help us get a head start on fundraising for July.
