Closed Primaries Lawsuit Update

In case you missed it, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Republican Party of Texas filed a lawsuit in federal court to close our state’s open primary elections. At the 2024 State Convention, grassroots conservatives voted to close our primary to stop democrat interference in our elections. Democrats participating in Republican primaries is a significant threat to election integrity. Republicans, and only Republicans, should select Republican nominees in Texas.
Through this legal action, the Republican Party of Texas has made a substantial investment in election integrity. The Texas Secretary of State is using taxpayer dollars to hire one of the most expensive law firms in America to fight against the will of Texas Republicans.
