Fellow activist,
The Trump regime has announced that it plans to undergo a coordinated federal movement to identify and “crack down” on progressive organizations.
As reported by the New York Times, Vice President JD Vance and Trump’s top policy adviser, Stephen Miller, made “vague and menacing” statements about using the senseless death of MAGA podcaster Charlie Kirk as an excuse to investigate those “organizing the left.”
As John Cohen, an intelligence official under Presidents Biden, Obama, and the Bush administrations, stated, “It is not the job of law enforcement or government agencies to police thought. It is the job of law enforcement to prevent acts of violence and criminal activity.”
The Trump regime’s nonsensical efforts to further divide our nation and spread hatred are unacceptable. Never before has a president or his team tried so hard to pit the right against the left — this is uncharted territory for the United States, and we must not let the power-hungry authoritarian mindset of a few destroy our democracy.
"Darkness cannot overcome darkness, only light can do that. Violence can never overcome violence, only peace can do that. Hate can never overcome hate, only love can do that." -Congressman John Lewis.

Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.
The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
