John,
From September 15th to October 15th, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
It’s a time to honor the diverse cultures of our Hispanic neighbors, as well as recognize their contributions to our community and our nation.
Miami has one of the largest Hispanic populations in the nation. It’s where I grew up, where I started my business, where I’m raising my son – and where I learned to speak Spanish.
Si, hablo español. Because growing up here, you can’t help but learn it.

This year’s theme is “Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.” But let’s be clear: Politicians like my opponent, Congresswoman Maria Salazar, would rather erase that past. She votes to cut health care and education, and stays silent while families are deported back to brutal regimes without due process.
I believe the opposite: We should protect our rights, fight for immigrants, celebrate our differences, and preserve our rich history.
That’s the fight I’m taking on in this campaign — for every family in our community. I hope you’ll join me.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
