September is Literacy Month!
Did you know that Literacy Pittsburgh currently has 275 adult learners on its waiting list? They need someone just like you to help them develop English language, reading, math and career skills.
Volunteering with Literacy Pittsburgh gives you the chance to see firsthand the impact of your actions. You don't need to have teaching experience, and you don't need to speak a foreign language. Your enthusiasm, patience and compassion are far more important.
With your help, each of those new students could get started on their goals. Make Literacy Month a life-changing celebration for these waiting students!
