Here’s what it means to look out for your neighbors and serve others.
John, I wanted to reach out personally to share the news with you:
I’m officially running for reelection as Governor of Minnesota, because the work to make our state the best place in America to live, work, and raise a family isn’t finished.
If you’re with me, can I count on your personal endorsement? Knowing I have your early support in this race would mean the world to me.

I grew up in Butte, Nebraska – a town of 400 people. There were 24 kids in my high school class. Living in a small town, you learn what it means to look out for your neighbors and to serve others.
That call to service is what led me to enlist in the Army National Guard just two days after my 17th birthday. I was proud to wear the uniform of this country for the next 24 years.

My drive to serve others eventually set me on a new path: teaching. My wife Gwen and I met while teaching high school. While we were in the classroom, coaching football, organizing dances, and directing plays, we got to know our students and the obstacles in their lives. It was my experience as a teacher and my passion for education that led me to run for governor.

The values that inspired me to serve our country in uniform and become an educator are the same ones I carry with me every day as I work for the people of Minnesota. I still believe in helping our neighbors, protecting our freedoms, and investing in the future for our next generation. And I believe that, despite Donald Trump and MAGA’s attempts to tear us apart, we are still all in this together.
Right now, we have an opportunity to continue our historic progress for Minnesotans – but only if we hold onto the Governor’s Office. That’s why I’m asking you to have my back today, John.
Would you please endorse my campaign for governor? It’s important to know who’s with me in this fight ahead.
