When I ran for Senate last year, I knew it would be an uphill battle. And while we came up a bit short, we built a historic grassroots movement.

Together, more than 800,000 donors powered one of the strongest grassroots campaigns Texas has ever seen, which helped us outrun the presidential ticket by nearly 200,000 votes – more than any other Democratic senate campaign in the country.

Now, our fight continues – and the challenges facing Texans and Americans today, from rising costs to corrupt politicians putting their mega donors ahead of working families, are more urgent than ever.

But Republicans could spend upwards of a hundred million dollars to keep their grip on Texas, just like they did last year. I know we can win, and a brand-new poll showing me 2 points ahead of the leading Republican in this race proves that. But I need to hit every goal along the way to keep up with the GOP's money machine.

So I have to ask: Will you chip in $5 today to keep powering this historic movement that we began two years ago and finish what we started? Together, we can give families across Texas the leadership we deserve.
