First, we took Ken Paxton to court over his political witch hunt as he did everything he could to shut Powered by People down, stop us from speaking out, and keep us from registering and turning out voters.

Then, we won with state appeals court judges — who were all hand-picked by Republican Greg Abbott — unanimously ruling against Paxton and immediately removing his restraining order from our critical work.

Now, we need your help to capitalize on this momentum and get our organizing and fundraising back on track. Defeating Paxton in court wasn’t cheap; over the last month, we’ve spent nearly $400,000 in legal fees fighting him.
