Billy Graham was in his early 30s when he faced a dilemma. Two men eager to start a Christian radio program had been “pestering” Mr. Graham—as he put it—about being on the airwaves, an idea he quickly dismissed.
But a timely answer to a seemingly far-fetched prayer changed Mr. Graham’s mind, launching his radio ministry and establishing the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in the process. In September 1950, BGEA was born.
