Hi there, this is Tom.
This week six years ago, Peggy and I got married. I feel so lucky to spend my life with my favorite person. Let me tell you a bit about her.
Yes, Peggy is the Lieutenant Governor, but more importantly than any title, she’s someone who fights every day for the people she cares about.
Someone who won’t give up when the going gets tough. Someone who knows what it’s like to feel the bottom can fall out at any moment, so she works around the clock to make life better for everyone. Someone who leads with empathy, courage, and heart.
I know that Peggy will be the best Senator that Minnesota could possibly have. And I’m not just saying that because I’m her husband! I’ve seen the way she connects with people and brings their experiences to hers. It’s inspiring.
But she’s facing a FEC filing deadline at the end of the month, which means all of her fundraising numbers will be made public. That means she needs to have a strong showing — because I’m told that’s how these things work — and prove she has what it takes to win this thing.
I want to make sure Peggy won’t have to worry about fundraising this week so that we can celebrate. That’s why I’m reaching out.
